Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

This policy describes what Serenity (serenitycorpus.com), operated by Srikanth Dindakurti, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, collects and how it is used. We collect the minimum needed to run the service, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising or third-party trackers.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, Serenity is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, and you are the Data Principal. We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign in, for the purposes set out in section 2 below and for no other purpose.

1. What we collect

Birth details you enter to cast a chart: date, time, place or coordinates, and optionally gender. We do not ask for your name. Account data: your email address, used for sign-in codes and identifying your account. Chat content: the questions you ask and the answers generated, saved to your account for continuity. Consent record: the date and time you agreed to these policies, the version you agreed to, and the IP address the agreement came from — kept as proof that consent was given, as the law requires. Billing details: when you buy a word pack, the billing state you select and, if you choose to provide them for input tax credit, your GSTIN and registered business name. Payment records: the payment itself is processed entirely by Razorpay — card, UPI, and bank details go to Razorpay directly and never reach or get stored on our servers; we store only the order reference, payment reference, pack, and amount. Technical data: IP addresses are used for security and rate-limiting and are not kept beyond what those purposes require, apart from the consent record described above.

2. How we use it, and why

We use your personal data to compute your chart, generate readings and chat answers, maintain your word balance, save your discussions so you can return to them, send sign-in codes and essential service emails, issue GST invoices as tax law requires, respond to support requests, and prevent abuse of the service. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and we do not profile you or make automated decisions that affect your rights.

3. AI processing

Readings and chat answers are generated by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. To generate them, your computed chart data, your reading, and your chat messages are transmitted to Anthropic's API and processed solely to produce the response returned to you. Anthropic acts as our processor and does not use this data to train its models. Readings are produced by AI without review by a human astrologer, are offered for entertainment and educational purposes only, and are not advice of any kind — see our Terms of Service.

4. Transfers outside India

Some processing needed to run Serenity takes place outside India. The birth details and questions you submit are sent to Anthropic (United States) to generate readings and chat answers, and payment data is handled by Razorpay, which may use infrastructure outside India. Each receives only what its function requires, under contractual terms, and none may use your data for its own purposes.

The law permits transfers of personal data outside India except to countries the Central Government notifies as restricted. Should any country we rely on be so notified, we will change our arrangements to comply. By consenting to this policy you agree to these transfers, which are necessary to provide the service.

5. Cookies

Serenity sets a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics trackers, and nothing here tracks you across other websites.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. It is shared only with the processors needed to run the service — Anthropic (AI generation), Razorpay (payments), and Hostinger (hosting and email delivery) — each receiving only what its function requires, and with tax authorities, courts, or other authorities where the law requires disclosure.

7. Retention

Your discussions, and the birth details and readings saved with them, are retained while your account is active so you can return to them; you can erase them yourself at any time (see section 9). Account and balance records are kept while your account exists. As stated in our Terms, we accept no obligation to retain chat history and it may be purged at any time — use the download feature for anything you want to keep.

Two things outlive a deletion request, because the law requires it. Tax invoices and the payment records behind them — which include your email address and any GSTIN you supplied — must be preserved under GST law for the statutory period, currently six years from the due date of the annual return for the relevant year. Consent records are kept for as long as we need them to demonstrate that consent was validly obtained. Everything else is erased when you ask us to erase it.

8. Security

All traffic between you and Serenity is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes, never as readable values. The database and credential files are readable only by the server's administrative account, and backups taken off the server are encrypted. Access to the server is restricted to the operator. We would rather describe these measures plainly than claim more than we do: the database itself is not encrypted at rest on the server disk. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights, and how to use them

You have the right to obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed; to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or completed; to have your personal data erased; to withdraw your consent; to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; and to have any grievance addressed.

Erasing your discussions yourself: sign in, open the chat panel, and use Erase my discussions. This permanently deletes every discussion along with the birth details and readings stored with them. Your word balance and your invoices are not affected.

Erasing your account: write to support@serenitycorpus.com from your registered email. We will erase your account, your email address, and all associated personal data within 30 days, other than the invoice and consent records described in section 7.

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: erasing your account withdraws it entirely. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it, and once consent is withdrawn we can no longer provide the service to you.

For access, correction, nomination, or any other request, write to the same address from your registered email. We aim to acknowledge within 7 days and to resolve within 15 days, and in any case within the period the law allows.

10. Children

Serenity is intended for adults, and you confirm that you are 18 or older when you sign in. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18; if such data comes to our notice, we will delete it. We do not track or behaviourally monitor children, and we do not direct advertising at anyone.

11. Personal data breaches

If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India in the manner and within the timelines the law requires, describing what happened, its likely consequences, and the steps being taken.

12. Grievances and contact

Questions about this policy, requests concerning your data, or any privacy grievance should go to the person responsible for answering them:

Srikanth Dindakurti, Serenity (serenitycorpus.com)
Email: support@serenitycorpus.com

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will ask you to agree to the updated policy the next time you sign in.
